In order to provide employment-oriented education and experience to the students, various offices of Sugar Industry and Sugarcane Development Department, such as Sugarcane Commissioner Office, Sugarcane Research Council, Sugarcane Farmers Institute, Cooperative Sugarcane Society Association Ltd., State Interested trainees are being trained through internship/apprenticeship in Sugar Corporation and Cooperative Sugar Mills Association.
In this sequence, Additional Chief Secretary, Sugar Industry and Sugarcane Development Shri Sanjay R. Bhoosreddy said that the internship period is of three phases which are being completed in 21 days, 30 days, 60 days and apprenticeship in 120 days. At least 90 percent attendance of the trainee during the training period is mandatory and before being selected as a trainee under the training program, it has also been made mandatory to give a personal declaration on the prescribed format to maintain the secrecy of the government office. After the completion of the internship program, each trainee will have to submit a self-evaluation report regarding the completed work. Only after this the successful trainees are provided with the training certificate by the concerned institution. So far, about 557 students related to various subjects have participated and received training in the internship program under the Sugar Industry and Cane Development Department.
He also told that for getting internship training, such trainees who are professional course / graduate / post graduate / research students and studying in any semester of the related course and by whom at least 55 percent marks have been obtained in the previous semester, The internship program is going on smoothly on the orders of the government. In this program, the interested trainee can get knowledge and training in agricultural marketing, accounting, law, computer, sugar technology, engineering, information technology, human resources, statistics and industrial training, etc. for sugar industry and sugarcane development department and its various offices. Giving detailed information in this regard, the Additional Chief Secretary said that under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS), a monthly stipend of Rs. 9000 and Diploma Engineer Rs.
