What Is UPESSC PRT Recruitment 2026?

UPESSC PRT Recruitment 2026 refers to the selection examination for the post of Sahayak Adhyapak (Assistant Teacher) at primary level schools in Uttar Pradesh, conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Shiksha Seva Chayan Ayog (UPESSC), Prayagraj, under Advertisement No. 05/2026. This is a state-level competitive written examination that fills vacancies in two categories: urban-area government primary schools (under Basic Shiksha Vibhag) and aided private primary schools (Sambaddh, under Madhyamik Shiksha Vibhag).
UPESSC was established in 2023 as the nodal body for teacher recruitment across all levels of education in Uttar Pradesh. The commission uses a fully OTR (One-Time Registration) based online application system, and selection is done strictly on merit through a 360-mark written examination consisting of 120 objective MCQ questions. There is no interview for this post — the merit list from the written exam determines final selection.
