What Is the Kerala PSC Provisional Answer Key 2026?

The Kerala PSC Provisional Answer Key 2026 is the set of official correct answers published by the Kerala Public Service Commission after every online examination. It is released 3–5 days after the exam date on the official website and also made visible inside each candidate’s OTR (One Time Registration) profile. The provisional key is not final — candidates can raise objections if they believe any answer is incorrect, and the commission reviews valid complaints before publishing the Final Answer Key.

Per the official KPSC examination guidelines published at keralapsc.gov.in, provisional answer keys are released for all online and OMR-based examinations. Complaints must be submitted online only through the OTR Profile within 5 days from the date of publication — both the first and fifth days are included. The Final Answer Key, modified as per expert opinion on valid complaints, is then published separately.

For the October 2026 batch, the commission released provisional answer keys on 12 October 2026 for examinations held on 7 and 8 October 2026. These cover 4 question paper codes across Collegiate Education (Govt. Training Colleges), Oil Palm India Limited, and Kerala State Civil Supplies Corporation Ltd departments.

How to Raise Objections Against the Kerala PSC Answer Key 2026

If you believe any answer in the Kerala PSC provisional answer key is incorrect, you can formally challenge it through the official KPSC OTR portal. Objections submitted offline or through email are not accepted — the process is entirely online and tied to your candidate profile.

1. Log into your KPSC OTR / Thulasi profile — Visit keralapsc.gov.in and sign in with your One Time Registration credentials.
2. Navigate to the Answer Key objection section — Inside your profile, locate the provisional answer key notification for the relevant examination. The date it appears in your profile is Day 1 of the 5-day window.
3. Select the question you wish to challenge — Click on the question number and provide your objection with a supporting reason. Reference reliable academic sources, textbooks, or official government documents to strengthen your case.
4. Submit the objection within 5 days — Both the publication date (Day 1) and the fifth day are included in the window. Objections submitted after this deadline are not entertained under any circumstance.
5. Wait for the Final Answer Key — Kerala PSC experts review all valid objections. The Final Answer Key — incorporating corrections where valid complaints are accepted — is published separately on the KPSC website. Results are calculated based on the Final Answer Key.

Important: Objections to online examination answer keys must be submitted exclusively through the OTR Profile — not by post, email, or in person. Objections received after the 5-day window are summarily rejected. Complaints received after the Final Answer Key is published will not be entertained at all, per KPSC’s official examination guidelines.

How to Calculate Your Estimated Score Using the Answer Key

Kerala PSC online examinations are conducted for 100 marks with 100 questions in a 1 hour 30 minute duration. As of 2026, the standard marking scheme for most KPSC online exams is +1 mark for each correct answer. There is no negative marking in most Kerala PSC online examinations — verify the specific notification for your post to confirm the exact scheme.

To calculate your score: count the number of questions where your answer matches the provisional answer key, then add the full mark for any questions marked ‘X’ (deleted). This gives your provisional estimated score. Remember this may change slightly after the final answer key is published if any objections are accepted.

Advantages & Limitations of the Provisional Answer Key Process

The Kerala PSC provisional answer key system is one of the most transparent in any state public service commission in India. Here is an honest assessment of how it works for candidates:

• ✅ Transparent process: KPSC publishes the answer key publicly on its website — no need to wait for results to know your performance.
• ✅ Objection mechanism: Candidates can formally challenge incorrect answers with a structured 5-day window, improving result accuracy.
• ✅ Fast turnaround: Answer keys typically released within 3–5 days of the exam — one of the quickest timelines among Indian state PSCs.
• ✅ Multi-medium availability: Keys for OMR/bilingual exams published in Malayalam, Tamil, and Kannada — candidates get the answer key in their exam language.
• ✅ No login required for PDF download: The answer key PDF is publicly downloadable without any registration.
• ⚠️ Objection window is short: 5 days is a tight window — candidates must review the key quickly and submit well-documented objections in time.
