Can OBC candidates from outside UP apply for reserved posts?
No. The reservation benefits (OBC, SC, EWS, and others) under UPESSC PGT Recruitment 2026 are available only to candidates who are original residents (domicile) of Uttar Pradesh. Candidates belonging to reserved categories but domiciled in other states will be treated as General (unreserved) category candidates and will not be eligible for reserved seats or relaxation in fees.

Shortlisted candidates must bring two sets of self-attested photocopies along with original documents: online application form, High School marksheet and certificate, Intermediate marksheet and certificate, Bachelor’s degree year-wise marksheets and degree, B.Ed marksheet and degree, Postgraduate year-wise marksheets and degree, No-Objection Certificate (if in service), caste/EWS certificate (for reserved category UP domicile candidates), PwD certificate if applicable, and the signed affidavit (Oath Letter) as per the format in Appendix-6 of the notification.
