Eligibility / Qualification
Essential Qualification:
- M.Sc. (Ag.) in Genetics & Plant Breeding / Genetics & Cytogenetics / Agricultural Botany
- OR M.Sc. in Botany / Genetics / Plant Sciences
- With 1st Division or 60% marks or equivalent OGPA
- Candidates with PG degree in Basic Sciences (3-year Bachelor’s + 2-year Master’s) must have valid NET qualification as per ICAR memorandum F. No. Ag.Edn. 6/27/2014-HRD dated 30 July 2019
Desirable Qualification:
- Research experience with sorghum / millets crops
- Expertise in design, layout, and handling of field experiments
- Knowledge of emasculation and crossing techniques, field evaluation, data recording
- Experience in statistical software for data analysis
- Experience in biochemical nutrient analysis
- Hands-on experience with sophisticated lab instruments: AAS, XRF, ICP-MS, etc.
Selection Process
- Screening of applications based on educational qualifications and eligibility
- Shortlisting of eligible candidates by the Selection Committee
- Walk-In Interview – date and time will be intimated via email to shortlisted candidates
- Verification of original certificates at the time of interview
- Final selection by Director, IIMR – decision is final and binding
