Eligibility / Qualification
- For Direct Recruitment: Graduate in Life Science / Agriculture / Animal Husbandry from any university established by law in India.
- For Departmental Employees: Must have completed 5 years of continuous service in the department and passed Intermediate (Class 12) with Life Science or Agriculture from UK Board / UP Board or equivalent.
- Candidate must be a resident of Uttarakhand or registered at an Employment Office in Uttarakhand.
- Nationality: Indian Citizen / Tibetan refugee (arrived before 01 Jan 1962) / Person of Indian origin migrated from specified countries.
Preferential (Additional Merit) Qualifications
- NCC ‘B’ Certificate holder.
- NSS Certificate holder.
- 15 years of continuous active service as Veterinary Dresser Grade-1 or Grade-2 in the Remount Veterinary Corps.
Selection Process
- Written Exam (Objective Type): 100 questions | 100 marks | 2 hours. Subject: Biology, Agriculture & Animal Husbandry.
- Negative marking: 1/4 mark deducted per wrong answer.
- Minimum qualifying marks: 45% for General/OBC | 35% for SC/ST.
- Document Verification: Mandatory. All reservation/educational certificates verified.
- Final merit list published on UKSSSC website.
- Selected candidates will undergo 6 months training at a departmental training centre and veterinary hospital before appointment.
